Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are information a service may save on your device and receive with later requests. LocalStorage keeps information in the browser without sending it automatically. Essential tools differ from optional services requiring a prior choice. This site’s panel handles Spotify and YouTube separately.
The project’s essential preference record
Name: madame_privacy_v1. Type: first-party localStorage. Operator: this site. Purpose: remember and apply permissions and refusals. Content: two yes/no choices, version 2026-10-21.1, choice time, expiry and choice method. Duration: six calendar months from the choice. No advertising identifier is added and the record is not sent to a controller server. This is essential preference-management storage.
Spotify | optional
The Spotify choice covers previews from p.scdn.co and the player from open.spotify.com. Both remain blocked before consent and load only on a listening request. Spotify may use tools for delivery, security, personalisation, analytics and advertising under its privacy ↗ and cookie policy ↗. Preview requests omit cross-origin credentials. This notice makes no cookie-free promise about the external service.
YouTube / Google | optional
Video uses youtube-nocookie.com, which does not eliminate all data processing. No Google/YouTube player is created by the project before permission. After permission and a viewing request, the provider may process technical details and interactions under its privacy ↗ and cookie policy ↗. About enhanced mode ↗.
Accepting, refusing and customising
“Reject non-essential” and the banner’s X keep both services off. “Accept all” allows both without starting either. “Customise” opens separate choices, initially off. Scrolling grants no permission. Closing preferences without saving leaves previous choices unchanged and does not authorise the requested loading. “Allow Spotify and continue” or “Allow YouTube and continue” enables only the named service and preserves any existing choice about the other.
Withdrawal, expiry and deletion
Turn a service off and save in “Cookie preferences”, or reject non-essential services. Affected audio and players stop or are removed. Closing a player stops playback but does not withdraw stored permission. Choices expire after six months. Clearing local storage makes the banner return; if storage is unavailable, choices last for the current page only. Withdrawal cannot delete cookies already set on provider domains: use browser settings or provider controls.
Infrastructure and provider tools
Hosting, protection and any service authentication may require technical tools managed by the infrastructure. See OpenAI ↗ and Cloudflare ↗. The project adds no analytics or advertising pixels. Provider tools’ names and durations may vary with browser, account and interactions and are described in their policies. This page does not claim to have measured cookies on third-party domains.
